Banking Law

How can we help you?
Lenders and borrowers operate in a challenging environment which has evolved through increased regulation and the development of increasingly complex financial structures.
We have an experienced and well-resourced Banking Law Division that offers specialised legal advice in all types of banking and finance related transactions.
The members of the Banking Law Division have extensive transaction experience and provide a dedicated service to both banks and borrowers. The Banking Law Division works closely with, and draws on, other specialisms within the firm to cover the full range of legal disciplines that banking transactions require.
Our banking practice regularly advises both the UK clearing banks and overseas banks and the geographic reach of our practice extends throughout the UK and, through our close links with overseas law firms, to banking and securities transactions on a worldwide basis. We regularly undertake work on an agency basis for overseas law firms and have extensive experience in ensuring that the technicalities of UK banking and company law are accommodated within multi-jurisdictional banking facilities.
Advice in banking transactions is provided to a wide range of industrial, commercial and financial sectors including the offshore oil & gas industry.
Beyond the technical expertise offered, our banking lawyers have a strong commercial understanding and are determined to provide not only sound advice to our clients but also to work with our clients in ensuring their objectives are realised.
